Great fishing for Friday - NW winds and excellent numbers of striped bass without even reaching the ocean. I started off with return client Bob Reim and his crew on a 4hr striped bass / tog charter. We picked through a dozen striped bass to box 5 keepers and release a few over 31's. Finished the last 2 hours boxing our limit of tautog to 17.5 inches and releasing a bunch.

Next, I had return client George "Cookieman", Mike P, and crew on a 4hr trip. We started with different tidal conditions boxed a few, but released under 24's and over 31's. Moved to a less crowded area to box 3 more striped bass and releasing 7 more.

With less than 1 1/2 hours, we switched to tautog and worked two spots to produced our 5-fish limit to 18.5 inches. Great job by Luke to mate the second trip. A huge thanks to George for bringing me a Penn combo to replace a dropped rod from our summer trip (not expected, but much appreciated!!)

Finished the night with an 80's Murder / Mystery dinner with my wife in Peddler's Village (first time, but pretty cool). Weekend off - back at it next week.
